The BJP national leadership has not yet commented on the incident on the island. Many senior leaders declined to answer questions about this. The party is of the view that the present is only a political controversy.

At the same time, Praful K. said that many of the controversies sit in the draft laws and that the final law will come only after the opinion of the people is known. Patel’s stand. Praful Khoda Patel was in charge of the Home Department while Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Though loyal to the Prime Minister, many in the BJP nationalist leadership are not interested in him.

This came after he was accused in a case relating to the suicide of Lok Sabha member Mohan Delkar from Dadra Nagar haveli. Delkar’s suicide note names Khoda. Delkar was found dead at a hotel in Mumbai on February 22, 2021.
