Electricity bills above Rs 1,000 are now online only.

Kochi: Electricity bills above Rs 1,000 are now available online only. Initially, cash counters will be allowed to pay bills, but the system will be completely online, the report said. Reducing the acceptance of over a thousand can also control a large segment of household users. The pricing suggests that this may also help reduce cashier posts.

By making the online payment system widespread, users will avoid visiting electric offices directly. There is now also an opportunity for the customer to avail of the services online without reaching the KSEB office.

KSEB has also launched a new service called “Sevanagal Vathilpadiyil” to provide easy access to the public. You can call 1912 for electrical services. Services are available 24 hours a day. In any case, no transaction charges will be levied till 31st July 2021 when the electricity bill is paid through KSEB’s web portal WSS or the KSEB Android application.

KSEB cash counters are functioning only from 9 am to 3 pm given the covid spread. KSEB has directed customers to make the most of online services.
