World Menstrual Hygiene Day: Know these risks if you are unhygienic

It is important  to take care of menstrual hygiene lack of proper hygiene  can lead to many unwanted health conditions.  May 28 is  World Menstrual Hygiene Day to raise awareness on the importance of menstrual hygiene. Here are some health conditions which might occur due to poor menstrual hygiene.

Urinary tract infections

If you don’t change sanitary napkin at regular intervals it puts you at risk of urinary tract infections. Dirty napkin will be an environment for the growth of bacteria which causes this condition.

Cervical cancer

This is caused by the Human Papilloma virus. It is a sexually transmitted disease and unhygienic menstrual practices can cause this infection easily.

Fungal infections are a real threat

Fungal infections occurs in unhygienic and dirty conditions. Unhygienic menstrual practices  increase your risk of this health issue.
