The Test positivity rate is only 1.5%. Now is the time to ‘unlock’.’ – Aravind Kejriwal.

Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal said the lockdown in Delhi would start partially removed from Monday. Kejriwal also thanked more than 2 crore people in Delhi for helping to bring the Second Wave of covid under control. ‘

Only 1100 new covid cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is only 1.5%. Now is the time to ‘unlock’.’ – Aravind Kejriwal said.

He said the decision to unlock was taken after discussions with the Disaster Management Authority. The lockdown is avoided in phases so as not to lose the advantage gained over the past month. Early-stage unlocking will focus on areas involving daily wage earners and such workers. This category of workers is mostly in the manufacturing sector and factories.

From Monday, manufacturing units will be allowed to operate in industrial sectors. Construction work can also be carried out using workers who do not exceed the permissible number. Every week, various areas will be unlocked keeping in view the opinion of the people and experts. Aravind Kejriwal also said that everyone should be cautious as this will be changed if the covid cases increase.

Delhi was one of the states worst affected by the second wave of covid. Delhi was also the first to report a shortage of ICU beds, oxygen etc. Health experts thought that the covid cases could be controlled in Delhi through a lock-down.
