He said during the shooting of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Deepika promised him that he would shoot her wedding. Years later she did fulfill her promise. He wrote, “Did you know? While shooting Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Deepika promised Vishal that he would shoot her wedding. Five years later, we shot the most beautiful wedding.”
The power couple had an intimate wedding at Lake Como, Italy, and got married amidst the Alps in the presence of their close friends and family members.
