More Lockdown Relaxation in Kerala; Morning and Evening walk allowed

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said morning walk from 5 am to 7 am and evening walk from 7 to 9 pm in public places would be allowed in accordance with the covid norms including social distance.

Shops selling stationery items are not allowed to open. The public is allowed to enter shops of textiles, footwear, and jewelry only if wedding invitations are shown. Only home delivery of products is allowed for all other individuals. The Chief Minister directed the covid review meeting to strictly curb those who misuse concessions.

Government employees excluded from the lockdown, government employees required to answer questions in the Assembly, and employees required to conduct examinations are required to appear at the office. From June 7, all Central and State Government Offices, including Public Sector Undertakings and Companies, will have 50% Rotation of Employees.

Only industrial establishments and production centers have now been granted operational approval. This does not apply to the service sector. Police trainees participating in the training, volunteers registered on the social volunteer portal and working in the field, field staff of IMD, field staff of Kochi Metro, and Kochi Water Metro field staff will be treated as vaccination front fighters.

Haj pilgrims will also be given vaccination exemptions given to those going abroad for study purposes and employment. The vaccine will be issued as soon as SMS is sent to people over the age of forty. The Chief Minister also said that all those above 18 years of age will be given vaccines irrespective of priority for tribal communities.
