No-Confidence Motion: PM to Respond Today, Rahul Gandhi to Attend

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the no-confidence motion presented by the India alliance in the Lok Sabha today. Rahul Gandhi, prominent Congress leader, will also be present in the Lok Sabha to hear the Prime Minister’s response.

The deliberations on the motion will recommence at noon, with Congress representatives Dean Kuriakose and Hibi Eden, along with Lok Sabha leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, scheduled to speak just before the Prime Minister’s address.

Yesterday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah noted a decline in violence in Manipur and urged against politicizing the matter. During the no-confidence debate, Rahul Gandhi criticized the handling of the Manipur situation, accusing it of causing harm to the people.

Since the beginning of the Parliament session on July 20, the Prime Minister has been absent from the House, though he attends the Prime Minister’s office at the Parliament daily. This absence has led to demands from the opposition for the Prime Minister to address the Manipur issue.
