Keral Budget 2021; Second Covid package of Rs20,000
Finance Minister K N Balagopal announced a second covid package of Rs 20,000 crore in the budget to meet the challenge created by Covid.
The package will provide Rs 2800 crore for tackling health emergency, Rs 8900 crore for direct cash for those in crisis and Rs 8300 crore for various loans, interest and subsidy for financial revival.
New loan plans
2000 crore loan to agriculture
2000 crore has been earmarked for primary co-operatives
Loans will be provided through primary co-operatives at an interest rate of 4 per cent
Up to Rs 5 lakh will be paid at 4 per cent interest
1000 crore loan for Kudumbashree ayalkootam groups
Rs 100 crore as covid package for Kudumbashree
1500 crore project for coastal protection
5300 crore for sea wall construction
Rubber subsidy dues will be paid. 50 crore has been earmarked for this purpose
Coastal Highway will be completed on time
Factory to be set up for milk powder production
Five more Agro Parks will be set up
2 crore for plantation sector
Initially the agricultural service network in two districts
10 crore for Kudumbashree to bring farmers to the next stage
Kudumbashree will start 10,000 ayalkootam units to increase the representation of young women
