Here is an important update on the technical crew. Mammootty’s CBI 5:

The much-anticipated fifth installment of Mammootty’s CBI Series, tentatively titled CBI 5, is set to begin production soon. CBI 5 will be officially launched on August 17, 2021, the auspicious Chingal 1 day. Sources close to the Mammootty starrer have now revealed a major update on the film’s technical crew.

According to the most recent news, Akhil George, a young cinematographer, has joined the CBI 5 crew as the director of photography. The K Madhu-directed film will be Akhil’s second collaboration with Mammootty, following the critical and commercial success of the recently released horror thriller The Priest.

The cinematographer has received good reviews for his work on The Priest and the recently released Kala, starring Tovino Thomas. With the addition of Akhil George to the technical team, it is now confirmed that Mammootty’s CBI 5 will be a one-of-a-kind experience in terms of technology.

As previously reported, talented musician Jakes Bejoy has been commissioned to compose music for CBI 5. The music director recently confirmed on his social media pages that the iconic CBI theme music is being recreated for the Mammootty project. Jakes Bejoy, who is ecstatic about the project, stated that it is an honor to recreate the iconic theme music, which was originally composed by veteran musician Shyam.

SN Swami wrote the screenplay for K Madhu’s directorial debut. The original cast members Jagathi Sreekumar, Mukesh, and Saikumar are expected to reprise their roles in the fifth instalment as well. Soubin Shahir, Asha Sarath, and Renji Panicker have joined the cast as newcomers. Swargachithra, the prestigious banner, is behind the Mammootty-starrer.
