Brighampton university researchers in the U.S. are behind the study. Marriage reflects a change in genes related to the functions of the hormone oxytocin. This finding was made in a study of how different types of genome types influence each other’s support for partners in married life. The researchers analyzed a combination of the oxytocin receptor gene as OXTR related to the production and control of oxygen.

A study of 100 couples revealed a difference in the position of OXTR in the behaviour of the husband and wife, according to a study published in the Journal of Family Psychology. A study by researchers at Brighampton University in the U.S. found that a husband with a particular genome type is dissatisfied with the support he receives from his wife and that this discontent is also overshadowed by their marital life.
