Kangana Ranaut Explains Why She Didn’t File Taxes Last Year

Kangana Ranaut made an unexpected revelation on her social media account. Last year, the actress stated that she was unable to pay her taxes. She penned a lengthy note on her Instagram story, in which she also explained why she did so.

The Tanu Weds Manu Returns actress revealed that she is in the highest tax bracket and pays 45 percent of her earnings in taxes. Kangana also stated that, despite being the highest-paying actress, she was unable to pay her taxes last year due to a lack of work on the professional front. The actress also stated that this is the first time she has been unable to pay her taxes.

Kangana also revealed that the government is now charging her interest for not paying her last year’s tax on time. However, the Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi actress has stated that she applauds the government’s decision. The actress went on to say that while times are tough for everyone right now, by working together, everyone can emerge stronger than time.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut recently released a harrowing video in which she revealed her post-COVID-19 recovery ordeal. Kangana can be seen in the video saying, “I’m here to talk about my post-COVID-19 recovery phase.” The actress then goes on to say that even after testing negative for the virus, one is not fully recovered. The Woh Lamhe actress stated that she believes she will be able to resume her previous schedule once she tests negative for COVID-19. When she tried to resume her old routine, she found herself feeling weak and relapsing.

Kangana Ranaut went on to say that she relapsed 4 to 5 times after testing negative for COVID-19. The Panga actress went on to say that June 5 marked the 14th day of her virus testing coming back negative. She then urged all of her fans to take care of themselves and get enough rest if they had fought COVID-19. Check out her video.
