1000 Special Trains Announced for Ayodhya Ram Temple Pilgrimage

The Indian Railways is set to roll out 1000 special train services from 25 cities, including Thiruvananthapuram, to facilitate pilgrims visiting the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Commencing from January 19th, these special trains will operate continuously for the next 100 days, in anticipation of the consecration function scheduled for January 22nd. Major cities such as Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Nagpur, and Lucknow are among those covered by this extensive service. The Railway’s meticulous planning aims to ensure that 8 to 15 trains from each city reach Ayodhya daily, accommodating 1500 to 2000 passengers per train. With an estimated maximum of 25,000 people arriving in Ayodhya daily through this special service, the Railways anticipates that the new Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station can handle up to 50,000 passengers, providing a streamlined transport solution for devotees.

Additionally, organizations like the Vishwa Hindu Parishad will join hands with the Railways to conduct the Ayodhya Pilgrimage. Influential figures from each state will travel to Ayodhya by train, fostering nationwide participation in this spiritual journey. Under the leadership of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the Akshatham blessed at the Ram Temple will be distributed to 15 crore households across the country as Prasad. In Kerala alone, this Prasad, along with a photo of Lord Ram and the Ram Temple, will be delivered to fifty lakh homes. Furthermore, Diwali-style celebrations, involving the lighting of lamps in households, are planned for the day of the Ram Temple’s dedication, enhancing the festive spirit and commemorating this significant event.
