A Kerala woman who had been missing for 10 years was discovered living next door to her lover.

In an unusual case of lovers eloping, a woman who had been missing for nearly 11 years was discovered living in a single room with her boyfriend’s family without his family’s knowledge.

When Rahman Khani, Mohammed Khani’s 34-year-old son, went missing from his home three months ago, the matter was brought to light. The couple was apprehended on Tuesday at a rented house in Vithanassery, a small village near Nemmara, and brought before a court.

The mystery surrounding the girl’s disappearance has also been solved as a result of this. The man had allegedly kept his lover, who belonged to another community, in a tiny room at his family’s Ayiloor home for 11 years without telling anyone.

On Thursday, the man told reporters that he had to keep his lover hidden inside his room because he was afraid of his family. “She came with me because she couldn’t stay at her house. Because I was afraid of my family, I had to hide from her. They were never fond of her “According to PTI, he stated.

He claimed to have ‘everything in the room and that he used to bring his food in and share it with her. The original plan had been to keep her hidden for a few days.

“I was hoping to get some cash so that we could leave, but that was delayed. Later on, I awaited payment from the LIC. But that was also delayed, and my family received it later “said the man.

Deepa Kumar, the House Officer at the Nenmara Police Station, said in a statement that no one knew about their relationship. Rahman’s older brother, Basheer, claimed that he had a separate room that was always locked. No one was allowed into the room, according to Rahman, a house painter. He deceived his father and mother for 11 years.
