More Covid 19 recoveries in Kerala than new cases
After many high single-day positive counts, Kerala on Sunday recorded more recoveries than new COVID-19 cases. State saw a remarkable decline in new covid 19 cases .54 people tested positive, 56 persons under treatment recovered and tested negative.
After May 8 it is for the first time the number of people cured were more than the number of new cases confirmed.
From the coronavirus-confirmed persons, 23 are returnees from abroad and 25 from other states. Two persons in Thrissur and one in Malappuram, were infected through close contact. Five healthcare workers , one from Thiruvananthapuram and four from Thrissur are also infected.
A total of 2,42,767 people are under observation in various districts of the state. From these, 2,40,744 are under surveillance at home or institutional quarantine and 2,023 are in hospitals.
