Kerala’s lockdown policy will be updated, and there will be limits, according to TPR.

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has announced that the state’s lockdown policy will be altered, with restrictions placed at various levels based on disease transmission rates. Local bodies will be categorised based on transmission rate, and various resistance steps will be enforced, he added.

In 14 local governments across the state, the test positivity rate (TPR) is still above 35%. In 37 localities, the TPR is between 28 and 35, while in 127 locations, the TPR is between 21 and 28. This shows that the TPR is dropping as predicted. The current lockout will last until June 16th. The lockdown plan will then be updated, according to the CM.

Currently, the same restrictions and research procedures are used in the state. Instead, various levels of limitations will be imposed in accordance with the TPR. More information will be released in the coming days, according to the chief minister, who spoke at a press conference.
