On the occasion of the 7th International Yoga Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 6:30 a.m. today. This year’s leading event for Yoga Day is a TV programme due to the pandemic. The programme will be broadcast from 6:30 am on all Doordarshan channels.
Sunday, PM Modi said in a tweet: “We’re going to celebrate the 7th Yoga Day tomorrow, 21 June. This year’s theme will be Yoga for Wellness, which will focus on yoga practice for mental and physical well-being. The programme of Yoga Day will take place tomorrow at approximately 6:30 a.m.”
According to news agency ANI, the event will begin with a live yoga demonstration (7-7:45 a.m.) and will be followed by messages from 15 spiritual leaders and yoga gurus.
Every year on June 21, International Yoga Day is observed. According to the United Nations website, the theme for Yoga Day in 2021 will be “Yoga for Well-Being.”
