A 19-year-old woman was found dead at her husband’s home in Alappuzha.

A young woman was found dead at the residence of her husband in Vallikunnam here on Tuesday. The deceased is identified as Suchithra (19), wife of Vallikkunam native Vishnu. She is daughter of Krishnapuram natives Sunil and Sunitha

Suchithra was discovered hanging inside her bedroom around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, according to reports. Vishnu’s mother Sulochana was the only one present at the time.

Suchithra is said to have gone to her bedroom around 8.30 a.m. after eating breakfast. Sulochana knocked on the door several times around 9 a.m., but Suchithra did not respond.

Sulochana then summoned the neighbours to open the door. When they forced open the door, they discovered the young woman hanging inside.

Suchithra and Vishnu, a soldier, married on March 21 of this year. Vishnu relocated to his workplace in Uttarakhand a month after the wedding.

A police team from Vallikunnam led by SHO Midhun conducted an inspection here. After the inquest formalities are completed, the body will be taken to a post-mortem examination.

Within two days, the deaths of three women at their husbands’ homes were reported in the state.

Vismaya, a BAMS student, was discovered dead on Monday at her husband’s home in Kollam. Her family claimed she was murdered because of dowry issues.

Archana, a native of Venganoor in Thiruvananthapuram, was discovered dead with burn injuries at her rented house in another incident. Archana’s family filed murder charges against her husband, and he was arrested.
