According to a survey, 55 % Indian couples cheat on their partners, with the majority of them being women.

Extramarital affairs and infidelity have become quite common in relationships, and according to the most recent survey conducted by Gleeden, India’s first extra-marital app, approximately 55 percent of married Indians have been unfaithful to their partners at least once. According to Livemint, women make up 56% of the total. This study included 1,525 married Indians between the ages of 25 and 50 from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.

According to the study, 48 percent of Indians believe it is possible to be in love with two people at the same time. On the other hand, 46 percent believe that it is possible to cheat on someone while still being in love with them. This is probably why Indians are willing to forgive their partners if they discover they are cheating. According to the survey, 7% would forgive their partner without hesitation, while 40% would do so if the circumstances were extenuating. Similarly, they expect their partner to forgive them (69 percent ).

Furthermore, 49 percent of married people in India admitted to having an intimate relationship with someone other than their spouse, and nearly half (47 percent) have already engaged in casual sex or one-night stands (46 percent ). 41 percent of Indian women admitted to having regular sexual relations with someone other than their spouse, while 26 percent of men admitted to the same. In comparison to 43 percent of men, 53 percent of Indian married women admitted to having had an intimate relationship outside of their marriage.
