On the occasion of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor’s 47th birthday, let’s look back at her career struggles and how her sister Kareena and mother Babita helped her deal with them.

Karisma Kapoor, a Bollywood actress, turns 47 on June 25. On her 47th birthday this year, the stunning Kapoor girl was showered with birthday wishes on social media from friends and fans. Kareena Kapoor made a point of making the day extra special for her sister by creating a heartfelt video highlighting the sisters’ best moments together. She also wrote a lengthy letter to her ‘Lolo,’ describing her as the ‘bravest, strongest, and most precious woman’ she knew.

Although both sisters have made a name for themselves in the industry, it has not been an easy road, particularly for Karisma Kapoor, who entered the industry before Kareena. In fact, Kareena discussed it extensively in an earlier interview with Simi Garewal.

She stated, “I’ve seen my sister cry for nights with my mother, saying that people are putting her down and that she’ll never make it. I’d hide behind a bush and watch because they wouldn’t want me to see their anguish. I’ve seen far too much.”

When she saw her sister in distress, the ‘Ki and Ka’ actress expressed her sadness. Here’s what she had to say: “I saw a lot as a child with my mother and sister. I’ve been through their traumas and lived their lives with them. When my sister was having difficulty sleeping, I believe I saw her cry for several nights in a row. That bothers me. Anything that causes pain to my loved ones causes me pain. That is what makes me who I am.”

Karisma has appeared in films such as Raja Hindustani, Dil To Pagal Hai, Hero No.1, Biwi No.1, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Fiza, and Zubeidaa. She made a comeback with 2012’s Dangerous Ishqq before taking another hiatus. She was most recently seen in the web series ‘Mentalhood,’ which received positive feedback from fans.

She is the daughter of Babita and Randhir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s sister. She is an avid social media user who frequently shares interesting posts with her followers.

The actress married businessman Sanjay Kapur in 2003 and divorced him in 2016. Samaira and Kiaan are the couple’s two children from their marriage.
