The highly awaited cop thriller Cold Case, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Aditi Balan, has finally premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The film, which marks cinematographer Tanu Balak’s directorial debut, centers around an unsolved murder case. After 509 days, Prithviraj Sukumaran returns to the big screen in Cold Case.

ACP Sathyajith, who re-opens the murder investigation, is played by the multi-talented actor. Cold Case, written by newcomer Sreenath V Nath, is Prithviraj’s return to police work after a brief hiatus. Aditi Balan, on the other side, plays journalist Medha Padmaja, who is investigating the same issue in tandem. Despite the fact that Padavettu is Aditi’s debut film, it has been her first outing in Malayalam cinema.

Leading star Prithviraj Sukumaran expressed his excitement for Cold Case, his first direct-to-OTT release, in a recent interview. The project was approached by cinematographer Jomon J John, according to the actor-director. He was so taken by Cold Case’s writing that he wanted to produce it under his own name, Prithviraj Productions. When Jomon announced that he is producing the film, the actor decided to play the starring part instead.

In addition to Suchitra Pillai, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, late Anil Nedumangadu, Athmiya Rajan, and others, Cold Case boasts a supporting cast that includes Suchitra Pillai, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, late Anil Nedumangadu, Athmiya Rajan, and others. The lyrics and original score were written by Prakash Alex. The cinematography was performed by Jomon T John and Gireesh Gangadharan. The project’s editor is Shameer Muhammed. Plan J Studios and Anto Joseph Film Company collaborated on Cold Case.
