Martial arts in saree! This TN bride’s amazing skills leaves wedding guests amazed

A video of Nisha, a newly married 22-year-old lady dressed in a sari, doing martial arts has gone viral. Nisha married on June 28th in her birthplace of Tuticorin in southern Tamil Nadu, and immediately after the ceremony, she staged the performance for a big gathering of people.

She executed classic Tamil martial art forms ‘Surulvaal,’ ‘Silambam,’ and Adimurai with graceful techniques and daring precision. Despite being dressed in a sari and bridal gown, she seemed at relaxed while completing the complex manoeuvres. That perfection is attributed to the years of martial arts training she is claimed to have received.

Her roughly 30-minute performance, which took place in front of a crowd of cheering villagers and wedding guests, was intended to raise awareness among young girls. She gave a performance at the open site where her wedding was held. This was her family’s method of encouraging young girls and women to learn martial arts for self-defense and safety.

According to reports, the young B.Com graduate is an aspiring police officer who was inspired to continue learning martial arts by her mother. Her farmer husband is said to have encouraged having the awareness-raising martial arts display at their wedding.
