After 1.27L tests on Thursday, there were 13,772 new COVID cases in Kerala.
Thiruvananthapuram: On Thursday, Kerala reported 13,772 new COVID cases and 11,414 recoveries.
As a result, the number of active COVID cases in the state has been reduced to 1,10,136.
So far, 29,00,600 people have been cured.
Of the new cases, 12,937 were infected through contact, 60 were from outside the state, and 57 were healthcare workers.
In the last 24 hours, 1,27,152 samples were tested.
So far, 2,40,45,894 samples have been tested.
The state’s test positivity rate (TPR) is 10.83.
The districts of Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Thrissur had the highest number of cases, with 1981, 1708, and 1403 cases, respectively.
On Thursday, a total of 142 COVID deaths were confirmed.
The state’s COVID death toll now stands at 14,250.
Currently, 3,91,444 people are being watched across the state.
3,66,935 are being quarantined at home or in institutions, while 24,509 are in hospitals.
