Coronavirus: India reports 45,892 new COVID-19 cases, with a 97.18 percent recovery rate.

According to data from the Health Ministry, 45,892 new Covid-19 cases were reported in India in the last 24 hours on Thursday.

The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry reported 45,892 new Covid-19 cases and 817 deaths in the previous 24 hours. With this, the country’s total Covid-19 infection count increased to 3,07,09,557, and the total death toll increased to 405,028.

According to Health Ministry data, the number of active cases increased to 46,07,04, or 1.50 percent of total cases.

The total number of recoveries was 29,843,825, with 44,291 people discharged in the previous 24 hours.

Active cases account for 1.50 percent of all cases. The recovery rate has risen to 97.18 percent. Weekly Positivity Rate is currently 2.37 percent, well below the 5-percentage-point threshold. The daily positivity rate was 2.42 percent, less than 3 percent for 17 consecutive days, according to the Health Ministry.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 42,52,25,897 samples were tested for Covid-19 as of July 7. On Wednesday, 18,93,800 of these samples were tested.

According to the Ministry, a total of 36,48,47,549 people have been vaccinated in the country, with 33,81,671 receiving vaccines in the last 24 hours.
