Harleen Deol makes a jaw-dropping catch against England in India’s first T20I – WATCH

India may have lost the first T20I against England on Friday, but Harleen Deol’s acrobatic performance in the match captured the hearts of the spectators with a stunning dismissal of Amy Jones. Jones smacked the ball towards wide long-off in England’s 19th over, and Harleen performed a fantastic attempt to dismiss the batter while also saving the six.

Deol chucked the ball in the air as she stepped out of the boundary rope, realizing she was losing her balance. The Indian cricketer has shown amazing mental fortitude by jumping back in just in time to complete the catch and dismiss a well-set Amy Jones for 43 off 27 balls.

Jones had actually timed the full-and-wide ball well over wide long-off, but Deol was there and how.

Here’s the video of the show-stopper:

Unfortunately, Indian Eves were defeated by 18 runs using the D/L method. With the danger of rain in mind, Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and chose to field. In 20 overs, the hosts scored a higher-than-par 177 for seven. Natalie Sciver was the show’s star, according to the hosts. She hit a stunning 55 off 27 balls. Her innings had eight fours and a single six.
Could’ve hit a few more sixes (chuckles). I was having a great time out there. Today was my chance to bat with freedom. We have a really powerful batting lineup. You can bat through the line once you’ve gotten comfortable with that pitch. At the post-game presentation, Player of the Match Sciver stated, “It was just a good game.”
