Kochi: After being welcomed by the Telangana government, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, has invited the Kitex Group to invest in Karnataka.
“I spoke with Mr Sabu Jacob of Kitex and offered him my full support for his industry, which employs thousands of Malayalees in Kerala. I’ve also offered the chance to invest in Karnakata with the full support of CM @BSYBJP “Today, Rajeev Chandrasekhar tweeted.
Kitex Group, based in Kerala, announced on Friday that it would invest Rs. 1,000 crore in the establishment of a textile manufacturing unit in Warangal, Telangana.
A group delegation had visited a facility at the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park.
Prior to announcing the investment plans, the Group met with Telangana Industry Minister KT Rama Rao in a series of meetings. Sabu Jacob previously claimed that he was “kicked out” of Kerala.
