Alappuzha: Mannarasala Amma Umadevi Antharjanam, aged 93, passed away on Wednesday morning in Alappuzha. She was born in the Malayalam year 1105, during the month of Kumbha and under the moolam star, to Subrahmanian Namboothiri of Kottayam Manganam Chembakanalloor and Rukmini Devi Antharjanam. Her connection to the Mannarasala family began in 1949 when she married M G Narayanan Namboothiri of Mannarasala Illam.
