Today’s Petrol and Diesel Prices, July 12, 2021: Petrol prices are rising, while diesel prices are falling; check rates in your city.

On July 12, Petrol prices increased by 25 to 34 paise, while diesel prices decreased by 15 to 17 paise.

Diesel prices have dropped dramatically in the last two months. Diesel rates in Mumbai have dropped by 17 paise to Rs 97.33 per litre. Meanwhile, fuel in Mumbai has increased by 27 paise to Rs 107.24.

Petrol costs Rs 101.23 per litre and diesel costs Rs 89.76 per litre in the national capital.

Meanwhile, in Kolkata, the price of petrol increased by 34 paise to Rs 101.39 a litre. The price of diesel has dropped 15 paise to Rs 92.86 a litre.

Petrol is now priced at Rs 101.96 in Chennai, down 25 paise, and diesel is now priced at Rs 94.28.

The impact of municipal taxes such as VAT and freight costs on fuel prices varies from state to state. Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana have the highest VAT rates on petrol and diesel in the country.

In Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bihar, Punjab, Ladakh, Sikkim, Puducherry, and Delhi, the price of petrol has surpassed Rs 100 a litre.
