Christmas Today: A Global Celebration of Peace and Hope

Christmas is being celebrated today with joy and reverence, spreading a message of peace and tranquility around the globe. Believers worldwide are marking the birth of Jesus through special prayers and gatherings in churches. In Kerala, the Pathira Mass, a significant midnight Mass, was conducted in important mosques across the state.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan extended heartfelt Christmas wishes to the people of Kerala, emphasizing that Christmas is a time to illuminate the path of hope. Celebrated globally, the occasion holds a special place in the hearts of Keralites, fostering values of love, harmony, and brotherhood. The Chief Minister’s Christmas message emphasized the belief that, beyond challenging times, there will be moments of goodness and joy.

On this festive occasion, leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) visited Christian churches across the state to partake in Christmas celebrations. BJP leader VV Rajesh joined the festivities in Thiruvananthapuram Palayam Pallam. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan conveyed warm greetings to devotees, highlighting the significance of Christ’s teachings on sacrifice, love, and brotherhood. He expressed confidence in overcoming challenges and returning to a joyous life, drawing parallels with the resurrection after suffering and death on the cross.

In the national capital, Delhi, elaborate programs are underway for Christmas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to host Christian religious leaders at his residence, fostering unity and celebrating the diversity of faith. The program, scheduled for 12:30 pm, will include prominent figures from the Christian community and is organized directly by the Prime Minister’s Office.
