Yogi orders relief after 38 people are killed in a lightning strike in Uttar Pradesh.

Lucknow: At least 38 persons have been murdered in 11 districts of Uttar Pradesh as a result of lightning, thunder, and rain.

The deaths, according to accounts, occurred on Sunday evening. After being struck by lightning, fourteen persons perished in Prayagraj, five in Kanpur Dehat, three each in Firozabad and Kaushambhi, and two each in Unnao and Chitrakoot.
After learning of the happenings, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his sorrow and asked the district administrations to provide suitable compensation to the families who had been affected by the tragedy.
Kanpur, Pratapgarh, Agra, Varanasi, and Rae Bareli, according to the government spokesman, have also reported deaths.

Rukma, 12, Moorat Dhwaj, 50, Ramchandra, 32, and Mayank Singh, 15, have been named as the deceased in Kaushambhi.
Hemraj, 50, and Ram Sevak, 40, were standing under a Neem tree in Firozabad when they were struck by lightning, killing them instantly. Lightning also killed Amar Singh, 60, of the Shikohabad area, and similar incidences have been reported in Ghazipur and Ballia.
