Despite the growing epidemic, the class 10 and 12 board exams were held in April 2021. The exam attracted a total of 4.12 lakh students.

The SSLC IT practical examination had already been cancelled by the state. The practical tests, which were originally slated to take place in April-May, were postponed after widespread anxiety.

From June 7 to June 25, students who took the Kerala SSLC exams had their papers evaluated. The evaluations for Higher Secondary and VHSE took place from June 1 to June 19.

The Kerala Board of Public Examinations promoted all pupils from classes 1 to 9 to the next higher level, according to the state education department. The decision was made because doing the year-end review exercise with the lockdown curbs in place was unfeasible.

On June 1, the new academic year for grades 1 through 9 with digital classrooms began.
