New Delhi: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has responded to merchants’ decision to open shops on Thursday rather than wait for the government to announce further relaxations of rules. The chief minister responded that everyone wants the shops to open, but the situation prevents it.

The government understands the merchants’ concerns and supports them. They should not take the other route, and if such a situation arises, it will be dealt with appropriately, according to the CM.

The CM also stated that maximum concessions are made based on the situation, and the restrictions are primarily intended to protect human life. Shops in the A, B, and C categories, which are currently permitted to operate, can stay open until 8 p.m., he said.The government understands the merchants’ concerns and supports them. Collectors will be given the authority to establish micro-containment zones in areas where regulation is required. On Thursdays and Fridays, the state will increase the number of tests. It is anticipated that up to 2.5 lakh samples will be tested. The TPR restrictions will remain in place in the state, and the public should cooperate, according to the chief minister.
