Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to collaborate with Netflix on a new project.

Washington: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are working on their second Netflix project, a new animated series based on the adventures of a 12-year-old girl.

According to Fox News, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Productions announced on Wednesday that the streaming service will be given the working title “Pearl.”

Meghan came up with the idea for the family-focused animated series, which was inspired by a number of historical women. She will also serve as an executive producer alongside director David Furnish, who has previously worked as a producer on films such as ‘Rocketman’ and ‘Sherlock Gnomes.’

Meghan stated in a statement, “Our heroine Pearl, like many other girls her age, is on a journey of self-discovery as she attempts to overcome life’s daily challenges. I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, in collaboration with Netflix’s powerhouse platform and these incredible producers, will bring you this new animated series that celebrates extraordinary women throughout history.”

The royal couple recently signed a deal to create content for Netflix, as well as podcasts for Spotify. According to Fox News, their first project with Netflix will focus on the Invictus Games, which allow sick and injured military personnel and veterans to compete in sports. Meghan and Harry have separated from the British royal family and are now residing in California.
