After a two-day pause, petrol and diesel prices were increased again on Thursday (July 15). According to price notifications from oil retailing companies, petrol prices in India have risen by up to 35 paise per litre, while diesel prices have risen by up to 15 paise per litre.

In Delhi, petrol now costs Rs 101.54 per litre, while diesel costs Rs 89.97 per litre, following the latest price hike. Petrol prices in the capital city recently surpassed Rs 100 for the first time this month.

Meanwhile, petrol prices in Mumbai are approaching Rs 110 per litre, with the most recent modification bringing the price to Rs 107.74 per litre in the city. Diesel costs, on the other hand, have been raised to Rs 97.45 a litre in India’s financial capital.

Petrol is selling for Rs 101.74 per litre in Kolkata, West Bengal’s capital, while diesel is selling for Rs 93.02 per litre. Petrol is currently selling for Rs 102.23 a litre in Chennai, and Rs 104.94 in Bengaluru.

Petrol prices have risen above Rs 100 in 18 states and union territories as a result of recent modifications.

Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Ladakh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Sikkim, West Bengal, and Nagaland are among these states and UTs. The newest states and union territories where petrol prices have surpassed the Rs 100 threshold are J&K, Bihar, Delhi, and Kerala.
