Malayalam actor KTS Padannayil, 88, passes away

KTS Padannayil, a veteran actor, died on Thursday at the age of 88. In Kochi, he was receiving treatment at a private hospital.

He got his start in the film industry as a drama actor.

The actor is best known for Vrudhanmare Sookshikkuka (1995), Independence (1999), and Vamanapuram Bus Route. He was born Kochuparambil Thai Subramaniam Padannayil in 1933. (2004).

He was the sixth child in a family of six. He attended Tripunithura’s Saraswathi Vilasam School. He dropped out of school after sixth grade due to financial concerns.

Before becoming a cinema artist, he was a theatre artist. He was a member of the Jayabharath Nithakalalaya, Chenagassery Geetha, Vaikom Malavika, Kollam Tuna, and Attingal Padmasree theatre troupes. He has appeared in over 60 films throughout the course of his 13-year career, as well as more than a hundred television comedy series. [

Padannayil made his acting debut in the 1995 film Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava.
