Abu Dhabi: Air India has made it mandatory for passengers flying from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Kerala to have an RTPCR negative certificate.
PP Singh, Regional Manager of Air India and Air India Express, clarified that even vaccinated people must carry a negative test certificate to land in certain Indian states.
Those who have received the vaccine, on the other hand, do not need an RTPCR certificate for domestic travel in India.
Since February 23, travellers have been submitting an RTPCR negative certificate through the Air Suvidha portal. A printed copy of the same must also be brought on the journey.
For those who travel home immediately after the death of a relative, Air Suvidha provides the option to apply for an exemption from submitting the RTPCR result.
