In the last 24 hours, India has recorded 39,097 COVID-19 cases, including 546 deaths

In the previous 24 hours, India has recorded 39,097 new COVID-19 cases and 546 deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry (July 24, 2021). The overall number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 3,13,32,159, of which 4,20,016 have died and 4,08,977 are still active. Over the course of 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload decreased by 3,881 cases.

In the country, a total of 3,05,03,166 persons have recovered from COVID-19 infections. On Saturday, at least 35,087 persons were able to recover from the infection, bringing the national recovery rate to 97.35 percent.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total number of Covid vaccine doses provided in India has reached 42.34 crore.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 16,31,266 tests were conducted around the country, thanks to significantly increased testing capacity. India has already undertaken approximately 45.45 crore (45,45,70,811) tests in total.

While testing capacity has been increased across the country, the Weekly Positivity Rate is now 2.22 percent, and the Daily Positivity Rate is now 2.40 percent. For 33 days in a row, the daily positivity rate has been less than 3%, and for 47 days in a row, it has been less than 5%.
