Shilpa Shetty’s statement in the porn case against her husband Raj Kundra is recorded by police

Mumbai Police recorded Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s statement on Friday after detaining her husband and businessman Raj Kundra in a case of alleged creation and distribution of pornographic films using apps, according to an official.

Shetty’s statement was taken in the afternoon at her home in Juhu, he said.

The Mumbai Police crime branch also searched the premises and seized a laptop, according to the officer.

The police opted to examine Shetty since she was a director of Viaan Industries, Kundra’s company, he claimed, adding that she eventually resigned from her position. Kundra’s police custody had been extended till July 27 by a judge earlier in the day. On July 19, he was detained in connection with the case.
