Kargil Vijay Diwas: The bravery of Kargil War heroes inspires us every day, says Prime Minister Narendra Modi

New Delhi:  On Monday (July 26), Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid respect to the martyrs of Vijay Diwas, remembering the sacrifices and heroism of heroes of the Kargil conflict.

“We recall their self-sacrifices. We remember their bravery. Today, on Kargil Vijay Diwas, we pay tribute to all those who died in Kargil while protecting our country. Every day, their bravery inspires us “Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter to express his displeasure.

M Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President, also paid tribute to the heroes of the 1999 Kargil War, recognising their valour and sacrifice.

“On Kargil Vijay Diwas, I join the country in recalling the narrative of our armed services’ valour and courage. I salute the heroes of the Kargil War and Operation Vijay, as well as the martyrs for their great sacrifice. Greetings, #KargilVijayDiwas “He stated this in a tweet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked Indians on Sunday to remember the courageous hearts of Kargil on July 26, when the country would commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The Prime Minister praised the Indian military services, saying that the Kargil conflict was a sign of the heroism and discipline of our security forces that the entire world witnessed. He stated that this day will be known as Amrut Mahotsav throughout India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked Indians on Sunday to remember the courageous hearts of Kargil on July 26, when the country would commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The Prime Minister praised the Indian military services, saying that the Kargil conflict was a sign of the heroism and discipline of our security forces that the entire world witnessed. He stated that this day will be known as Amrut Mahotsav throughout India.

“The day will be known as Amrut Mahotsav. That is why it gets even more unique “He continued.

The Prime Minister also encouraged all citizens to participate in the Amrut Mahotsav, which is being organised across the country to commemorate India’s 75th Independence Day on August 15, 2022.

 

Amrut Mahotsav, which the Government of India is celebrating as a people’s movement, will be administered by a national implementation committee led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The country will mark the 22nd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. On July 26, 1999, the Indian armed forces beat Pakistan. Since then, the day has been commemorated as Kargil Vijay Diwas to honour the soldiers who took part in Operation Vijay.
