Harappan city of Dholavira added in world heritage site list
UNESCO added historical site Dholavira has been included in the world heritage list list. Dholavira, situated in the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, belonged to the matured Harappan phase and was excavated by the Archeological team in 1967.
It is one of the most important sites of the Harappan civilizations. It is the larger of the two excavations of the Indus Valley Civilization , 4500 years ago.
Dholavira gets this much attention because this is one of the world’s earliest water conservation systems ever excavated.
