After 1.63L tests on Thursday, there were 22,064 new COVID cases in Kerala

On Thursday, Kerala reported 22,064 new COVID cases and 16,649 recoveries.

With this, the state’s active COVID cases increased to 1,54,820.

A total of 31,77,453 people have been cured of the disease so far.

Of the new cases, 20,891 were infected through contact, 161 were from outside the state, and 102 were healthcare workers.

In the last 24 hours, 1,63,098 samples were tested.

So far, 2,68,96,792 samples have been tested.

The state’s test positivity rate (TPR) is 13.53.

The districts of Malappuram, Thrissur, and Kozhikode had the most cases – 3679, 2752, and 2619, respectively.

On Thursday, a total of 128 COVID deaths were confirmed.

The state’s COVID death toll now stands at 16,585.

Currently, 4,54,080 people are being watched across the state.

4,26,600 are being quarantined at home or in institutions, while 27,480 are in hospitals.
