A popular adult film actress, 27 years old, was found dead.

Her husband discovered the body of a 27-year-old adult actress under mysterious circumstances. There are several theories surrounding her untimely death, with one section speculating mental illnesses and another claiming it was caused by three recent deaths in her family.

Lauren Sky Scott was better known by her screen name Dakota Skye has acted in over 300 adult films and has even received awards much like the Oscars in the adult film industry. On Wednesday, the unnamed husband found her dead in her mobile house and had informed the authorities.

Dakota Skye had been embroiled in a controversy a few weeks prior for flashing her naked top near a wall-painted hoarding of George Floyd, whose death as a result of police brutality sparked worldwide outrage. She was heavily trolled for an Instagram post that the majority of users thought was offensive and in poor taste, forcing her to delete it.

Dakota’s aunt told US media that her niece came from a dysfunctional family and had been abused with drugs, alcohol, physical, emotional, verbal, and sexual abuse. She had lost her mother two years prior, and both of her grandparents died last year as a result of COVID 19, causing her great grief.

On social media, celebrities from the adult film industry have expressed their condolences to the troubled Lauren Skye Scott. “Dakota was a dear friend and part of our industry family, and we are saddened by her loss,” said James Bartholet. She still had so much more to give to the world and the industry, and I’m just saddened and speechless.”
