After 1.52L tests on Friday, there were 20,772 new COVID cases in Kerala

On Friday, Kerala reported 20,772 new COVID cases and 14,651 recoveries.

As a result, the number of active COVID cases in the state has been reduced to 1,60,824.

31,92,104 people have been cured of the disease so far.

Of the new cases, 19,622 were infected through contact, 137 were from outside the state, and 81 were healthcare workers.

In the last 24 hours, 1,52,639 samples were tested.

So far, 2,70,49,431 samples have been tested.

The state’s test positivity rate (TPR) is 13.61.

The districts of Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Ernakulam reported the most cases, with 3670, 2470, and 2306 cases, respectively.

On Friday, 116 COVID deaths were also confirmed.

As a result, the state’s COVID death toll has risen to 16,701.

Currently, 4,56,951 people are being watched across the state.

4,29,118 are being quarantined at home or in institutions, while 27,833 are being treated in hospitals.
