After 1.67L tests on Saturday, there were 20,624 new COVID cases in Kerala

On Saturday, Kerala reported 20,624 new COVID cases and 16,865 recoveries.

As a result, the number of active COVID cases in the state has been reduced to 1,64,500.

So far, the disease has been cured in 32,08,969 people.

Of the new cases, 19,487 were infected through contact, 112 were from outside the state, and 98 were healthcare workers.

In the last 24 hours, 1,67,579 samples were tested.

So far, 2,72,17,010 samples have been tested.

The state’s test positivity rate (TPR) is 12.31.

The districts of Malappuram, Thrissur, and Palakkad had the most cases, with 3474, 2693, and 2209 cases, respectively.

On Saturday, a total of 80 COVID deaths were confirmed.

The state’s COVID death toll now stands at 16,781.

Currently, 4,55,078 people are being watched across the state.

4,26,640 are being quarantined at home or in institutions, while 28,438 are in hospitals.
