Tokyo Olympics 2021: Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah Wins Women’s 100m Final; second-fastest time in history

Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah successfully won Olympic 100m crown today,. She  won  at Tokyo’s Olympic Stadium in 10.61sec, with two-time champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce winning silver in 10.74 and Shericka Jackson winning bronze in 10.76. Thompson-Herah’s Olympic record is the second-fastest time in history of 10.61 marked by the late Florence Griffith-Joyner.

Alcohol is not a good sleep aid.

This is for the first Jamaican winning of the medals since the women did it at the 2008 Beijing Games

“I am really excited to come back and retain my title. My chest hurts, I am so happy,” Thompson-Herah said.
