India’s travel ban in the UAE has been lifted

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has granted permission to holders of residence to return from August 5, providing relief to thousands of Indian citizens trapped in the country due to a travel ban.

The UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) announced the decision on Tuesday.

Aside from Indian visitors, the UAE will reopen its doors to visitors from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria, and Uganda.

Those planning to travel must have waited at least 14 days after receiving their second dose of COVID-19 vaccination. Only those who have received the vaccines approved by the UAE will be allowed to enter.

Those travelling must also carry the vaccination certificate.
