PM Narendra Modi to interact with Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana beneficiaries today

New Delhi: Modi will meet beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana on Tuesday (August 3).

Many issues related to this will be discussed during this time. To raise awareness of this scheme, the PM may also highlight all of its benefits.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to begin the discussion via video conferencing at 12:30 p.m.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will be in attendance. In addition, the government is making various efforts to make the scheme available to more people who require it.

A public participation programme is being launched in the state to raise awareness about the scheme. This will make it easier for the general public to comprehend this scheme.

The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana will continue to provide free rations to 80 crore people in the country until November 2021.

This proposal was approved at the Union Cabinet meeting on June 23.

The duration of free rationing has been extended to 5 months under the scheme. The previous scheme provided free rations to low-income families until June 2021.

Poor families receive 5 kg of free food grains as part of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.

The goal is to benefit 80 crore people in the country through this scheme. This 5 kg grain is provided free of charge in addition to the fixed quota available on the ration card. The government initiated this scheme in response to the country’s COVID crisis.
