The Army’s Dhruv helicopter has crashed near Pathankot, and rescue efforts are underway

An Indian Army helicopter crashed near Pathankot in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ranjit Sagar Dam.

The ill-fated helicopter took off from the 254 Army Aviation Corps base, which houses the Advanced Light Helicopter Dhruv, according to locals.

According to army sources, the weapon system integrated helicopter took off from Pathankot and crashed during a routine sortie.

According to reports, the helicopter was performing low-level flying sorties near the Ranjit Sagar Dam.

Search and rescue operations are currently underway.
