According to an ICMR study, combining Covaxin and Covishield yields a better result

The Indian Council for Medical Research has reported that its research on combining and combining Covid vaccines Covaxin and Covishield yielded better results.

According to the study, vaccination with a combination of an adenovirus vector platform-based vaccine and an inactivated whole-virus vaccine resulted in improved immunogenicity.

The study, which was conducted after the Drugs Controller General of India gave the go-ahead, concluded that the combination was safe.

Last week, Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar informed the Rajya Sabha that there was insufficient scientific evidence on the mix and match studies of different vaccines because they were developed recently.

So far, neither the National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for Covid-19 nor the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization has recommended that the first and second doses of the regimen be mixed and matched.

Vaccination coverage has reached 50.68 crores.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the country’s vaccination coverage has surpassed 50.68 crores.

Over 50.68 crore vaccine doses have been administered in 58,51,292 sessions.

According to the data, 55,91,657 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
