New Delhi: Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan celebrated the 18th anniversary of his National Award-winning sci-fi film ‘Koi…Mil Gaya’ on Sunday (August 8), by sharing a social media post wishing the film’s iconic character ‘Jaadoo’ a happy birthday.
Hrithik took to Instagram to share two images from the 2003 film, which is regarded as a genre milestone. The first photo is of the iconic alien character ‘Jaadoo,’ and the second is a still from the film featuring Hrithik as Rohit Mehra and his alien friend.
Reminiscing about his feelings for Jaddoo, the ‘War’ star wrote, “To the one who brought joy and magic into Rohit’s and my lives. He held Rohit’s hand, healed his scars, and convinced him of miracles. Jaadoo was only three years old when he entered Rohit’s life. He is now 21 years old, having lived for the past 18 years. Mil Gaya… Koi… Mil Gaya… Mil Gaya… Mil Gaya… Mil Gay Rakesh Roshan directed and produced the 2003 science fiction film. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta in lead roles, with Rekha supporting and Rakesh Roshan appearing in a cameo.
Rakesh Roshan co-wrote the screenplay with Sachin Bhowmick, Honey Irani, and Robin Bhatt, in addition to writing the storey. ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ is about Rohit (Hrithik Roshan), an intellectually disabled boy who meets an alien and performs scientific feats.
The film follows his relationship with Rohit’s friend Nisha (Zinta), who falls in love with him. Indravardan Purohit, who died on September 28, 2014, was a dwarf who played the film’s iconic role of ‘Jaadoo.’
The three National award-winning films were released in 2003, and were followed by the sequels ‘Krrish’ and ‘Krrish 3’.
In terms of Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming projects, the actor will next be seen in ‘Fighter,’ alongside superstar Deepika Padukone, and excitement is building for ‘Krrish 4’ as well.
