Thiruvananthapuram: In the midst of Kerala’s vaccine shortage, 3 lakh doses of Covid vaccine will arrive by Tuesday afternoon, providing temporary relief to the ongoing crisis. Due to a shortage of Covid vaccine, the vaccination drive in five districts was hampered.
The Centre previously stated that the next batch of vaccine doses would arrive in Kerala on Wednesday. However, when the vaccination drive in five districts was halted due to a lack of vaccine doses, the Centre immediately arranged for vaccine doses for Kerala.
The state government informed the Centre on Monday that the vaccination drive in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, and Wayanad districts had been temporarily halted due to a lack of vaccine doses.
